Default Core/Memory Settings?

Hi,
Brand new at ever trying to Overclock anything; I just bought/installed a Visiontek GF 2 GTS 32MB DDR RAM - it came with just the card and Original Driver CD; did not know what the CORE Setting would be or the Memory either. I went and downloaded the GTU Tweaking Utility and it told me that my Default settings are:
Core: 175
Memory: 283
Does that sound correct to you - I thought I had read before I bought this that they were both more than that - - - ???? An article here at AnandTech written when they first came out did not say exactly what Default is/was - BUT - indicates it's higher than this one.
They say in that article that you can take it easily to 200/400.

I haven't tried YET - - - I did go to 180/300 - WOW! BUT found it does not stay after I re-booted it was back to default??

TKS Michael

The GeForce2 GTS is clocked at 200/333.
Are you sure you don't have a VisionTek GTS-V?
The GTS-V is clocked at 175/283 default.

Thanks Rand, That explains it - I got ripped off by U-Bid then, I thought the full GTS was as you said, and their auctions said I was buying a GTS - NOT - a GTS V. I will have to TRY and have a word with U=BID about this. Also - remember reading at NewEGG that the GTS-V is VERY overclockable - will have to go back and see what I can safely run it at.

THANKS - that's the answer! has to be.
