Deep Space Nine 24x7

Seasons are very inexpensive on iTunes (around $12); DS9 had some of the best writing talent of any star-trek. Many people went from that show on to do things I love and admire such as battle-star, the first season of heroes and pushing daises.

Maybe I missed something? Are you talking writers, directors, etc? Cause I don't see any of the talent haveing had much success post DS9? (outside of Dax)

Most producers, as listed, are actually writers that get paid more, so when looking for writing credits look for producer credits as well.

I love these guys:

The writing talent was amazing on DS9, even if they did rip J. Michael Straczynski of when it came to the whole premise and first season (the parallels between B5 and DS9 s1 are ridiculous!)

Interesting. I didn't know that. Good stuff.

Yeah on many TV shows they only let you have a couple of writers, so often they will just hire loads of people, call them all producers and then tell them to do whatever needs doing. If its shit work they get called "associate producers".

www.watchtrek.com is better IMO.. Watch whenever you like.

Not really. At JTV its kind of like Mystery Science Theater 3000. You have live chat as we all watch together. Also, some broadcasters (like downlordy) insert comedy bits between rolling episodes.

Lots of fun for die hard fans (and newbs). Come by some time. We wont bite. 🙂

For all those who couldn't get into DS9, you need to give it a chance. It was sort of doomed from the start because it always ran concurrently with another Star Trek show - the first two seasons ran alongside Next Gen and the last five ran alongside Voyager. But it's hard to make sense of DS9 without being able to see more than a few episodes here and there.

If you enjoy watching TV shows from start to finish then you really ought to give DS9 a try. If you don't care and just like seeing whatever's on and jumping around, then TNG and Voyager are that.

Never could really get into DS9 either. No exploration, dark plots, all that stuff is like the exact opposite of every other Star Trek series and Roddenberry's super idealistic view of the future.

Really should give it another chance sometime, though. I'm sure it's a great show, just in different ways than the other Star Trek series.

The buildup to the civil war and the shadows was really good. I loved watching the show up to season 4. I liked how it had a bigger plot than weekly independent episodes. It's also why DS9 was so good.
