Koing - Nice to see you. 🙂 Yeah, I'm still losing. Right now I look unhealthy, but I'm trying to eat more protein and such, so it should get better. 🙂

altonb1 - No, it wasn't a typo...well, I guess it was. She's 19 months old. lol I don't really mind it. She's mild mannered. I'm only staying in here until my room gets ready. It's called an "Arizona Room". I'd never heard of it before. I think it used to be a porch, but now it's enclosed and being turned into a room. Right now all that really needs to be done is getting a window a/c unit and her husband sealing up some cracks in the roof to keep out the heat.

ornament - Again, he was the only reason I went there in the first place. PLUS, the climate in Virginia made my fibromyalgia and arthritis practically unbearable.

arthritis?! You dont look anywhere near over the hill in your pics????

So I finally get moved to Yuma, AZ on August 22nd and my new life starts. I'm now bunking with an 18-month-old girl, sleeping in her brother's bed while he sleeps on the couch. (Friends are letting me rent a room....that room is almost ready.) Anyway, my laptop had never been set up because they had DIAL-UP! And, not just any dialup, but AOL! So, I had to go into their bedroom to get online and then I couldn't get in here because of AOL.

Well, I couldn't take it any more. There was no cable or satellite tv and I couldn't get that great of an internet access. Today cable tv along with cable internet hath been installedeth. W007!!!! I went out and bought a wireless router and hooked it up to their computer and I'm now able to surf the net from his bed in the bedroom. You have no idea how happy I am. I left a home in Virginia along with a bunch of things, including DirecTV (I was spoiled with that and Tivo) and high speed, wireless internet.

Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper right now. 🙂

AZ rocks! Go out and see all the cool stuff.
I love the desert and the open space and views in AZ.

montanafan - Thank you. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the sunset. We're supposed to go camping in the desert, so that should make for some pretty ones. My friend took a couple of great pictures a week or so ago on his camera of some cloud coverage with the sun peeking out. I'll have to see how it turned out and if I can get it from him.

JEDI - You don't have to be old to have arthritis. There's juvenile rheumatoid arthritis if I remember right. My best friend got it when she was 26. I have osteo-arthritis in my knees and my hips. (Fun stuff) lol I feel like I'm about 90 instead of 30. 😉

Nice to see you back! I must have missed the leaving thread; I was wondering what happened to you just a couple days ago.

Frustrated - Too bad we couldn't have met up in VA. I was in Charlottesville several times.

DrPizza - I'm here. I just wasn't on a whole helluva lot. Hopefully I'll be around more. 🙂

SuperSix - But of course! The subject of children was one of mine and Tim's issues. lol My clock is tickin', man! Plus, I'd make a pretty mom! 😉 heehee

The only good thing I can remember about driving through Yuma was that it isn't that far from San Diego. That and you have those cool sand dunes in Californa not far away.

Hey, time's a wastin'! Oh, and I heard that getting snipped could be reversible. 😉 hahaha

CrackRabbit - My friends have quads and rangers and all sorts of stuff they play in the desert with. I haven't done any of that yet, though, because of one thing or another. I was able to go dove hunting with them once though, when the season was still open. 🙂

Responding to JEDI: I was diagnosed at 18. There are different types of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is wear and tear, it's the "old people's" arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease usually diagnosed between the ages of 25 and 55.
