So I finally get moved to Yuma, AZ on August 22nd and my new life starts. I'm now bunking with an 18-month-old girl, sleeping in her brother's bed while he sleeps on the couch. (Friends are letting me rent a room....that room is almost ready.) Anyway, my laptop had never been set up because they had DIAL-UP! And, not just any dialup, but AOL! So, I had to go into their bedroom to get online and then I couldn't get in here because of AOL.

Well, I couldn't take it any more. There was no cable or satellite tv and I couldn't get that great of an internet access. Today cable tv along with cable internet hath been installedeth. W007!!!! I went out and bought a wireless router and hooked it up to their computer and I'm now able to surf the net from his bed in the bedroom. You have no idea how happy I am. I left a home in Virginia along with a bunch of things, including DirecTV (I was spoiled with that and Tivo) and high speed, wireless internet.

Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper right now. :)

I would if I could, but kicking her ass would literally hurt me more than it would her. My fibromyalgia would kick MY ass for doing it. ;)

FoBoT - Nice to see you as well. It's definitely hot here. Monsoon season is humid, so it's really hot and fairly humid. Grrreeeaaat! haha

In the spirit of being the true attention whore that I am, here are two pics I took tonight. Granted, they're in the bathroom I'm sharing and I'd changed into shorts and looked like hell for staying up for so long.....but here they are! Haha Hmmm I think maybe I'll go to bed soon.

*hug* You need to go get a massage! I want to go to a day spa and get pampered. That sounds like fun and something that my body might actually like. lol

I've already got the oil warming. The wife is gone for 3 days. I'll be waiting.

See, ya. Time to get to work.

Exciting, moving across the country, isn't it? I've done it a couple of times and it really makes life interesting. I'm starting to think that I'll never be able to settle down.

Hope you enjoy your new life!

I'll always be your internet girlfriend, darling! And O.M.G.! I remember that thread...a little anyway. LOL I didn't know they still archived stuff that far back. haha

Squishie - I hope you have a good massage when your wife comes home!! I need to save some money for one or see if my new insurance will cover massage.

Chucky - I moved out to VA because I'd met him online. He was the only reason I was there. The climate made my illnesses a lot worse, so it made sense to leave the state.

Chaotic - Interesting? lol I'm a little tired of moving now. I thought that when I'd moved to VA and we'd gotten the house, it would be the last time for a looong while. Apparently life had more in store for me. We'll see where I go from here. :)

So how are you doing?

You look like you've dropped weight, looking thinner.

Was this a typo? Or are you really sharing a room with a toddler?

I would imagine that might suck.... My youngest is ALWAYS in our room and frequently in our bed and it is annoying.

Koing - Nice to see you. :) Yeah, I'm still losing. Right now I look unhealthy, but I'm trying to eat more protein and such, so it should get better. :)

altonb1 - No, it wasn't a typo...well, I guess it was. She's 19 months old. lol I don't really mind it. She's mild mannered. I'm only staying in here until my room gets ready. It's called an "Arizona Room". I'd never heard of it before. I think it used to be a porch, but now it's enclosed and being turned into a room. Right now all that really needs to be done is getting a window a/c unit and her husband sealing up some cracks in the roof to keep out the heat.

ornament - Again, he was the only reason I went there in the first place. PLUS, the climate in Virginia made my fibromyalgia and arthritis practically unbearable.

Good to hear you've made it out there alright. Have fun in the sun and take some pics of those famous desert sunsets for us!
