You're right. No way they win that many games. 😛

You just wait! We'll go 11-5 if we can sign that asshole crabtree.

yah whats the status on that douche. he is setting himself up to be the next ochocinco or TO.

it reminds me of Javon Walker with the packers. hold out for more money and then get hurt in the first game of the season. demand to be traded because they wont pay you as much as you want, and then get hurt agian....was rinse repeat agian. i know this guy has not been hurt, but everytime i hear of someone holding out i think of this.

I am a Steelers fan, but I think the Ravens will probably win the division. Bucs will win more than 4 games, and Patriots will lose more than 3.

oh ye of little faith, 3-0 against them last season 😛

if they have improved, we certainly have as well

All 3 of those games came down to the very end, if Flacco looks as good during the regular season as he has in the pre-season, I doubt the Steelers will sweep the Ravens again. Probably a split.

Flacco is turning into a damned good QB, and you guys, just like us, always have a tough shutdown D. The rivalry last season was the best of smash mouth, big hit, football.

NFL prediction's suck.

Biggest waste of time, ever.

yeah, get out you dope

I laugh every time I hear NFL columnists or broadcaster's get upset with each other over prediction's, you should never get that involved over speculation. Take a hint.

There's nothing wrong with controversy cuttie pie.

If you're actually a fan of the NFL it's fun to talk about the upcoming season. Especially since Baseball sucks so much and everyone's glad football is back. Nothing wrong with that. Predictions can go terribly wrong, but so what.

Nothing wrong with controversy? I don't know what you mean by that, or by "cuttie" pie 😛 ( just kidding, I hate spelling nazis too).

Philadelphia? Bah, too much locker room politics. I feel sorry for my Giants this year, but I still think they have a good chance to get in the wild card. Hell, if rookies 6'6 WR Ramses Barden and WR Hakeem Nicks play as good as they say they're capable off, they might make the Cowboys look like crap. Realistically it might take a year for Eli to grow with the new rookie WR's.

These predictions remind me of how the fantasy football league goes every year. The picks seems great at the beginning of the season, but about half way through, you have situations that just make you shake your head.

Interesting that you believe that Pitt can't stop Brady and Moss but that you think the Colts defense can.

Its not that - its that I think Peyton and co can put up more points than Roethlisberger's crew.

I don't think Gonzalez replaces Harrison, i think the colts make the playoffs but don't go far

Replaces Harrison at his prime? No, but he can certainly do as much if not more than Harrison did the past two seasons. Wayne has already taken the role of superstar wideout, and Dallas Clark is an elite receiver in his own right.

The running game will be much more key to the Colts offense than losing Harrison. I don't know what happened to Addai last year, but he just looked bad. Maybe he'll turn it around. Maybe Brown makes up for it. In my opinion, that's the make-or-break question for the offense.

The Colts have a lot of questions for sure, but unless something catastrophic happens, I think they'll be in the playoffs at the end. As you point out, the running game will be key but additionally, the offensive line play has to improve as well. They needed help in the running game and did draft Brown, but a lot of us here in Indy really wished they would've taken an offense lineman in the first round.

And LOL at people suggesting the Jags will be up there. Anything can happen, true, but I think the Jags are the team most likely to be the division doormat this year. The Jags actually hired the Colts' special teams coach from the last few years -- you know, the same guy who consistently fielded one of the poorest special team units while with the Colts? I could bash the Jags for hours -- it is like a hobby to me. 😀

Because I'm sure in your predictions, you have the Eagles as bottom-dwellers, right? Before you respond with something like "but everyone knows the Eagles are a top team this year", remember that last year everyone in the country loved Dallas, and yet I was still lambasted for picking them.

Unless I put Dallas at 3-13, if I dare say one good thing about them, some of you will have some snide comment about it. I think the Cowboys will be good. I have listed legitimate reasons why I think that. Deal with it?

wah

Its all about the matchups. Ravens O vs. Steelers D? Yeah, come on now. Ravens D can only hold back the Steelers O for so long, which is why those games were close until the end.

But alas, sweeping isn't easy, and there's always that chance the Steelers sit starters by that 2nd game on Dec 27th.

Agreed, and I hope it continues, it's always fun being part of a rivalry like that.

You realize that you're bragging about how mediocre the Steelers D was against the Ravens offense that had had a rookie QB, rookie OC, and 1 legit receiver? The Steelers barely beat the Ravens, it's not too far fetched to predict that they'll split the series this year, don't be such a homer.

"I do my best to make picks without any personal bias,"

This idiot picks the Cowgirls to pick first in their division every year. Take it for what it is..complete and utter idiot bullshit from a fanboy.

Dallas was 9-7, lost their biggest offensive weapon in TO and lost Pacman (HAHAHA), and he puts them as 11-5. The Eagles were 9-6 last year and added weapons on offense, but he put them as 10-6.

Dude, seriously, just quit.

You have been a pissy little girl ever since I (correctly) pointed out that Vince Young blows, years ago. I swear, when i said that, you shoved a 12' pole up your ass that you still haven't removed. Hell, you even whine at me in non-related threads! Grow up, kid.

Because that's what caused you to stick the pole up your ass? Seriously kid, you should see a proctologist about that. If you get something that big stuck up in there at the ripe old age of 13, it will do bad things if you ever grow up!

I also find it very amusing that last year, people whined and bitched and moaned that I had Dallas in the Superbowl. Ohhh, Deeko's got the Cowboys in the Superbowl, big surprise! Well, I don't this year. So you found something new to cry about. See my response to Kev on the matter - I don't think Dallas will have a losing record, whether you like it or not. This thread is about my opinion on football. Deal with it....or continue crying like a 12 year old girl. Whatever floats your boat, but seriously, go see the proctologist at least.

lol @ skins going 6-10 and cowboys going 11-5.

Skins have not lost anyone who was an impact player on their 8-8 season last year, and they have SIGNIFICANTLY improved their defense, and also now have more than 1 threat at wide receiver. if the o line holds up they will go much farther than 6-10.

the cowboys have not done much other than losing their star reciever yet you have them doing better this year.

oh yeah, "losing". More like kicking to the curb because anytime you take one step back he mouths off and makes it 13.

I see the Falcons offense doing even better this year. I mean last year the Falcons had no one at TE, and they just added Tony Gonzalez. You have stars at all the skill positions QB (Ryan), RB (Turner), WR (Roddy White), and TE (Tony Gonzalez). The offensive line is very underrated as well. As for the defense, that's a big concern but the offense should score enough points to bail out the defense for most games.

Did you just call a sophomore QB with no rings a star? The kid's good but wow that's a stretch.

haha yeah he seems to think that will be his impact if the money he is asking for is any indication.

Wait, you're an Eagles fan and you are saying "losing" TO is a bad thing? 1st off, we let him go. 2nd, he was not good for the team. You should know this.

I'll put up $200 that says the Cowboys have a better record than the Eagles this year. Put up or shut up.

Your picks don't really bother me. I just like getting you all worked up. It's too easy though.

Sweet. i was waiting for this thread. Deeko i may not always agree with your predictions but i love that you post it cause it always a fun read.

Absolutely!!!

Why do people think the Bears D is going to get better? I hope they don't believe the hype about their new d-line coach....cause he has not improved a d-lineman's play in the last 3 years.

When people attack my picks, I defend them. When people attack me, I attack them back. The only ones that get worked up in these threads are my detractors.

I don't think their D will be as good as it was in the past, but I think it will be good. Its the offense I see making a big leap.
