That's it for now folks :) Long live DA!

------

Well, it seems the second dedicated server was popular, and left several people in the out cause there wasn't enough to fill a 3rd order. Well, I decided to jump on a deal and pass it along to the good folks of AT. It's been a long time coming, I've been here too long :p

Anyway, for those of you that might be interested, I've set up a forum for the server here. Go there to post/ask any questions regarding this. Server should be ready by the end of the week/weekend. But basically, what I have here for us is a DirectAdmin server... and lots of bandwidth :)

Interested yet? heh.

*edit*
I had space on DeviousTraps server, and well, since I have this, I don't really need DT's space anymore.. if anyone is looking for 25GB/250GB for $100 paid through december, LMK. I could probably still make use of it, but gotta pay for the server :)

Thank you for promptly answering my pre-sales questions :)

He is? how would have you guessed? :)

Edited title to reflect the fact it's for webhosting rather than gaming. Sorry, no Xeons here, I love AT, but I can't go in the hole that far for ya. Besides, I would have done opterons instead.

Affirmative, this will be my 11th web hosting account :)

Is it that profitable for you or just a hobby?

It's profitable, otherwise it would be a very expensive "hobby" (my total web hosting bill is $350/mo).

For instance, one of my favorite reseller web hosts is UU which offers 3GB/25GB for $15.99/mo.

By targeting the local web hosting market (specifically small businesses) I am able to offer 50MB/500MB for $19.95/mo.

You can fit roughly 50 of those 50MB/500MB accounts into a 3GB/25GB resellers account.

So you do the math.

$19.95 per mo x 50 domains = $997.50 - $15.99 (my costs) = $981.51 per mo profits :)

Nice.. I have so much extra bandwidth right now on my VPSColo account. I should check out some local businesses in my area.

Ooh I am so jealous, VPSColo.com is awesome. Rus does a great job.

In a few months, GottaDeal.com will be moving from a resellers account to ServINT.net

Our VPS isn't just powerful, it is also designed with superior reliability in mind. Built on SuperMicro Dual Xeon 2.66 Ghz machines with 8GB RAM, 10x73GB Ultra320 high-speed SCSI drives in RAID 5 with hot spares, dual 10/100/1000 network interfaces, hot-swap fans, 3 redundant hot-swap power supplies, and other hardware only dreamed of by most dedicated server customers, it is an awe-inspiring platform. Although you would expect to pay thousands of dollars a month for these features on a dedicated server, they are all standard on every VPS host machine.

He really does. He was right on top of every issue we have had. I don't think I have waited for more than 5 minutes for a response back on a trouble ticket yet. Great company if you are looking for a VPS account.

Wow do businesses just not realize they can get that much more (what you bought) for cheaper than they're paying you a month ???

That's why I target the LOCAL WEB HOSTING market, since they don't have a clue that cheaper web hosting exists. Their idea of web hosting is paying a local ISP $65/mo or Yahoo! for $30/mo.

The local web hosting market is virtually untapped in most major markets.

Not quite, I'm around 29 currently. I'm letting a few expire this year, so I'd like to stay around 25.

With web hosting as cheap as it is, somehow I think I'll be around 45 by end of 2004.
