Dedicated Printer for Stamps.com

Hey,

I was wondering what might be a good dedicated printer for use with stamps.com. Would the Samsung laser that's regularly in the Hot Deals section work OK?

Ideally I'm looking for a laser that's cheap to operate and has a straight pass-thru for envelopes. Is there such a printer?

And any opinions about using stamps.com welcome.

It works pretty well. I do it on my Laserjet 4000. It does envelopes on a straight through pass. Now that the Post Office has changed the waiting rules, it will be even more useful for small packages and things like CD's and DVD's in padded bags.

Stamps.com is legit and accepted by the USPD.

I would really like it to work on my Dymo Labelwriter 400 printer. But, so far I haven't found the way.

Ah, yesss! All I have to do is use Dymo's stamp function instead of Stamps.com. Definitely will change toi this:

Oh, dumb me! It is Stamps.com, and I just didn't know that I could use my Dymo 400. This is great! Especially for packages.
 
corkyg - I was wondering why you would prefer to use your Dymo over your laser? Doesn't that ad to the cost of postage having to buy labels?

The labels have to be bought anyway. Stamps.com uses serial numbered labels. Most of my mailings are CDs and DVDs in padded bags. Printing a sheet on the laser is a lot of labels. I usually want them one at a time.

I find the Dymo fast and easy - it is right on my desk. They have a 3 part label in a roll - and each has the required red marks. Two segments have postage label, address label, and return label. They also have single postage label rolls.

I can also print them on the Laserjet 4000. I find that the software works for both. Now I have a choice of printers. The Samsung laser should be good to go.
