Decoding the Past - Secret Societies

Could be interesting! Could be a whitewash!

Some of the world's most powerful individuals belong to secret organizations. The Skull & Bones, the Bilderbergs, and the Tri-Lateral Commission are just a few of the groups that many suspect are conspiring to take over the world. Others believe they already have. What fuels such rampant conspiracy paranoia? We examine a number of these clandestine organizations, past and present, and reveal why so many people fear their nefarious agendas

The truth is something people do not know, do not want to know, and do not want to know they don't want to know. The secret protects itself. Secret societies can be totally secret and totally open.

I was taught back in the day when I was a trigger puller, that to hide in "plain sight" is the best surprise. Nobody looks where you should not be.

Please! Pledge one if you desire a special belonging and personal integrity and self esteem that comes from being a member of a group that is not totally open to the public. It's not for me and I know several Masons even in my family.. I've always looked on it as a personality flaw. I was in a fraternity in college.. never really loved the idea or felt special/superior.

As I see it, there's little point to these musty, faintly ridiculous cirlce jerks of arbitrary exclusiveness, complete with costumes, stupid handshakes and dues, without the pathetic members knowing that you know that they belong and you don't.

Well the "secret" is not their existance, it is their inner workings. We all have heard of them, but very few know what they do or organize. The conspiracy theories are mostly unfounded Fear of these societies, there is little evidence that they are damaging or involved in some scheme to enslave humanity or something equally distasteful.

I'm sure they have some goals, influence, and the members benefit in various ways from their relationship to the society, but that does not necessarily mean the societies goal is an evil conspiracy.

Oh there's a point besides the feeling "special".. Such as - Oath's of loyalty and patronige to former/current members for business/employment connections. Social interaction with like minded folks. etc. Just think your local parish or non-secret orgs like Rotary sqaured and more intensive. Natually when a group of individuals "stick" together they have more power collectivly and can inprove thier lot individually.

LEO moonie

I actually have a theory about a Secret Society and the War in Iraq. Can't talk right now though....

There's nothing secret about it. it's a mass wealth transfer from hard working tax payers to the MIC, defense policy board and other bush cronies. Just follow the money and who's been pimping this war since 1996. War has always been a very profitable racket for some and spent blood for most.
