Oh yeah.. Stardock games (with a better steam variant + they hate copy protection) FTW!!!!

A "boycot" such as this wouldn't really convince me to truly boycot somebody .. sorry it's just not enough of a hot buttonl. But, I am very disenfranchised with BF2 & BF2142 so for my own reasons I won't be buying 2142 either. Subtle difference I guess, effectively the same though.

Waiting on: Quake Wars, Huxley, UT2007, Crysis, TF2, Portal, Hellgate: London and many other upcoming GREAT titles. I suppose if you are EA it is kind of a bad time to be pissing off gamers.

Declaration of Boycott

This document is to inform EA (Electronic Arts) and, anyone else who wants to know, the offenses they have committed against gamers.

EA has consistently released games of low quality control. The newest example is Battlefield 2142. Bugs, existing in games upon release, and unfixed over the course of many months whose multiple has exceeded twelve, have caused frustration to gamers all over the world. These bugs have caused server browsers to crash, menus to crash, loading screens to crash, and the game to crash during play. They have also caused games to malfunction, changing the intended way to play and thus making the game unsuitable to play. Multiple patches had left major bugs unfixed and often introduced new bugs. A current example is Battlefield 2.

EA has released games where menus and ideas that have no common sense. Menus often take extensive time to load. Server menus lack convenient features that have been found in other multiplayer games for years. For example, it has been a long tradition of multiplayer games to have game names that are always changeable. In Battlefield 2, a game name is permanent. EA does not make it clear how the name will be used or that it will be permanent. Thus many gamers were forced to lose their e-mail to an unwanted name. It also made it tedious to register with a new name.

EA has used economic changes as an excuse to raise prices on their games. In 2004, some game publishers started to raise their game prices due to the extended development time of programming new, advanced graphics. During that time, EA released games, notably, Sims 2, at the new higher price, even though their games lacked advanced graphics.

We hereby boycott EA published games and any other publisher who shows this lack refinement in their games.
Let me guess. English is not your first language.

Yeah, EA sucks.

That is sort of a "duh" paragraph that shows the writer is not really aware of life. I wonder if it has ever occurred to him/her that all working people and businesses demand pay raises at least commensurate with the increased cost of living? My guess is the writer is still a sponge living off of parental support. :)

I purposely tried to make it sound older english. And this was my first draft. It's funny how when I create something, it looks perfect. Then I check it a few days later and I can't believe I thought it was perfect. I'm fixing some errors on it now

With economic changes, I didn't mean the whole economy, but I meant the industry change to the new price point.

Surely I would understand that people need raises. Now... if they would only give it to us.

Yeah, it's really quite simple. If you don't like the product, don't buy it. You really can't force other people to do something out of your principles. The corporations don't care about petitions... the only paper they care about is green.

There are a vast number of people that can't figure out that Walmart sells sh1t quality stuff that'll need to be replaced every 6 months or less, and that they could've bought something quality for a little more and have it last 5 years, which would end up costing them far less in the long run.
