I'm building a Delta Sigma converter for a class project, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to build the decimation filter required. I've looked at multiple sources, including some of the standard references (such as Delta Sigma Data Converters - theory, simulationa and Practice), but none of them seem to describe how to build one. Is it just a brickwall digital filter followed by a downsampler? In that case, is there any way to predict the latency of the filter (I need it for one part of my project).
