Deciding between these two::

BFG Tech GS-550 550W

or

Rosewill RP550V2-D-SL 550W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817182030

They are both roughly same price.. First one is cheaper, but with shipping comes to the same price as 2nd.

I do not plan on doing any crossfire anytime soon.. and if I did that, it would be a couple years, and I could always upgrade PSU.

I am just looking for a PSU that will power an Athlon Phenom II 940 with a Radeon 4890 graphics card... 1 HD.. and 1 DVD drive.

I imagine both of those would do it.. but I dunno if there is some specification on either that would make 1 better than the other.

Help me?

Here is a much better deal
BFG LS550 for $58 shipped

otherwise of the two you are looking at the GS-550...just realize that it is not really a 550W PSU by the standards of the LS550 or something like the Corsair VX550...the GS550 is more comparable to a 450W PSU.

Thanks man. I might definitely buy that one.

I am kind of buying this new computer piece by piece.. bought 4GB of ram yesterday. Debating on buying a couple of smaller things next or just saving for mobo/cpu. Gonna go with onboard radeon 3300 for a while then I will get the 4890.
