Deciding between Intel and AMD processors ... what do you think?

That's still kind of crazy. How many tabs do you have going? I have Chrome, mail and a backup program running and only show 94 threads, along with other background utilities.

I have one or two tabs open, as usual.

I'm at home on my laptop now, and it shows similar numbers.

There's no sign of sluggishness at all. Both are very snappy and respond fast.

Yup 1000+ threads is pretty normal * but even a celeron clocks down to ~800Mhz and still only uses ~10% of the CPU...

It would seem I was looking at the process list, and not the thread count.
