deciding between directv and comcast for tv

None of them are cheaper over the long haul. They all have agreements behind closed doors to fix prices.

Once your intro rate with DTV expires, it's just as expensive, or more so, than regular cable. We had DTV and lost signal every bloody time the rain came out of the southwest. Their attitude was pretty much, 'Too bad for you'. Now with Insight.

Yeah, pricing is really no different.

We have a local cable company and the difference over two years was like $20. When I was talking to DTV, they wouldn't accept the fact that they're just as expensive as everyone else.

Ended up going DTV, just because they simply offered MORE channels. Thinking about cancelling, I'm 18mos in right now. I just need to find a decent streamer box that supports Amazon + Netflix + Hulu + network streaming. It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to go Roku + Plex. Not happy about it, but thems the breaks.
