We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.
For me, the only difference I cared about was the improved ISO noise performance.
These new Digic 4 Canons are approaching the low-noise levels of Fuji's F31, especially when you take into account the extra resolution (which gives any noise a finer grain).
Anyway, there is no real advantage to getting the 890 over the 880. The 880 has a better lens, newer Digic chip, and costs about the same or less. The 880 has a 3" rear screen, while the 890 has a 2.5" screen and a "dim tunnel" optical viewfinder (which I've never used to frame a photo on any Canon Digital ELPH since it only displays 75% of the frame).
