Been working on this on and off for the past two days, I really like this. Visualizes quite nicely the various cores on the market. Also added a Piledriver module for kicks.

If you have a die shot of a certain SoC and a die size of said SoC, I can add more cores :)

CofeeLake might be bigger than KabyLake due to 14++.
IIRC they backported single dummy gate from 10nm in order to offset the change in CPP.

I didn't measure it but I've heard the cores are more or less the same.

I'd love to see this going back to the mid 90's, but even going back to K10/Penryn would be cool to see.

dozer module should be 31mm2 (I think this includes L1 and L2 but not L3), so effectively 16mm2 core. steamroller added to area and power consumption by doubling up on decoders, but also shrank to 28nm. So guessing steamroller and excavator are roughly 15mm2 a core or (30mm2 a module). I really want to see a an x86 big little config extending stoney with a pair of puma cores--which should only add ballpark 7mm2. (amazing how tiny these are; 3mm2 at 28nm).
