deception

great deception: yesterday, i received three 256mb cas2 pc133 crucial modules, and was expecting them to reach high fsbs (150+) at cas2-turbo timing, as i intended to use them to replace three no-name cheap modules that were working fine at cas3-fast timing @147fsb.
No way. I have not been able to reach even the 147 i did before (not even at same settings, cas-3 fast), so i feel really deceived after paying nearly twice the price for getting half the record.
My only hope is that, as i recall, the modules i have had up to now started not admitting more than 138 or so and have "matured" by trying to force them little by little (has anybody had such experience before?). let's pray. do i need some advice?
Current settings (apparently working fine) with an abit kt7a raid are: 135fsb cas2-turbo 10.5x 1.85v(1.94 real) i/o voltage 3.4 (3.52 real). Temps are not a problem as they never go any higher than 45 at full throttle.
help me please, perhaps is neither help nor advice but consolation, but however you call it, do it.

I have to say that this is not a rare problem umon the crucial. I upgraded from another company's CAS 2.5 DDR, to the crucial CAS 2 modules, and couldn't even put them in Turbo mode without them locking up my system, and having to clear CMOS. Just to let you know you aren't the only one.

Are all 3 running in the same board? Try changing slots.

I had a similar problem when I put a new Crucial Micron 256 (PC133 CAS 2) in with an older Crucial Micron 128 (PC133 CAS 2). Even at 138FSB, they didn't like each other very much (errors, errors, errors) although separately they had no problem with the mild overclock.

Switching slots (patiently - trial and error - moving them around in my 4 slots) did the trick.

And where is the deception? They are RATED at 133 FSB CAS2 - in fact guaranteed to do so. Perhaps your EXPECTATIONS were too high for 150 FSB.

Actually, when I was testing and selling ram, I did best with some OEM labeled Infineon PC133. Most of it did 150+ @ 2-2-2. You might try and find some. There is lots of it out there.
