I don't do a lot of gaming but do play the occasional Need for Speed or other fast paced game. What specs should I be looking for when buying an LCD. I would think the response time would be the most important, seems like 25ms is typical for this, is that enough? Sorry if this is a repost.

Buy at least <20ms panels. A 16ms one should be more than enough for a nice gameplay.I love my Hyundai Q17 :)

I don't know. I have a 25ms panel (Samsung 192t) and I don't see any ghosting in C&C Generals, Raven Sheild or Battlefeild 1942.

Since the 16ms or 25ms or whatever the number happens to be is just a rise and fall time for a certain sort of operation I would look at the overall panel before ruling out 25ms ones. I can certainly recommend the 192t as a great gaming panel. And other then the brand new Dell that just came out it has a larger size then any current 17" 16ms panel, which is just too small for me. This is my first LCD and I have used nothing but high end 21" and 19" CRTs before this, so going to 17" just wouldn't do. After this LCD I don't think I will ever go back to CRTs. Just my 2 cents.

My albatron ALBATRON L-17ASD is a great monitor for gaming. Its response time is only 25ms and there is no noticable ghosting in any games. I've tried in on a ton of games (too many to list, but it is fine on BF1942, Call of Duty, and Simpsons hit and run :)) It's response time is only 25ms, but the monitor is great on both DVI and VGA.
