Decent Bluetooth Mouse for the Mac?

Any mice suggestions? I'm surprised how scarce Bluetooth mice are.

I've tried a few but unfortunately all that ive used had some form of annoying lag (short of the apple wireless mouse - but i couldnt stand the design nor the lack of comfort)

I've noticed the tracking can be spotty at times with non-apple mouse as well (this was testing on my mac mini & my Lenovo X60 tablet). It just dosent feel nor act as fluid

Personally, I would stick with an RF mouse.

I really like the Mighty Mouse with my MBP, easy to use, and batteries last forever.

I really like the Mighty Mouse...in theory. But the problem with them is that they have a prevalence of problems with the little scrolley-ball thing.

I hate the dearth of bluetooth mice on the market. LIke my logitech vx revolution. LOOOOOVE that mouse, best one I have ever used. But the thing retails for $80... you would think that for $80 that could have either a bluetooth version, or just straight up make it bluetooth.

Think about it. They are marketing it as a mouse for notebooks, and it costs $80. If a person is willing to spend $80 on a mouse for their laptop (i actually use it on my desktop since the trackpads on macs rock) then one would think that their laptop has bluetooth. I don't know, maybe it is just me.

i'm using a v470 from logitech and i love it. my v270 was kinda sketchy, but this new one is great.

Couldn't agree more. Every Bluetooth mouse I've tried has stunk. The Logitech VX Revolution is by far the BEST notebook mouse I've ever used. It's RF (no lag), has a tiny USB receiver, great battery life, and lots of programmable buttons. Combined with SteerMouse, you can make it do anything you want. Plus the laser can go onto just about any surface you put it on. I would HIGHLY recommend the VX Revolution if you're looking for either a laptop mouse or a smaller mouse.

The v270 is perfect. And it matches the MBP perfectly.

+1 for the vx revolution. Look for sales, I got mine in April for $35 shipped from costco. No lag, the scroll wheel must be experienced, and the mouse "feet" must have been sprayed with Clark Griswald's lubricant. It is actually too slippery for me, but I really like the mbp trackpad and use it 95% of the time.

I use the BT Mighty Mouse with my MBP...it's alright, but I probably wouldn't have gotten it in hindsight. I really like the look of the Logitech VX Nano, but I wish it came in BT...even though the receiver is super small, no receiver is better!

I gave up when looking for a BT mouse and KB. So, I just use a Logitech RF set. Works great for me.

I think one reason that I and others looked for a BT solution is because the MacBooks and Pros come with such a limited number of USB ports. BT allows you to leave those free for externals and the like.

I'm using the Microsoft 8000 Bluetooth mouse with my new iMac (white, 24", 2.16) and it works great! Probably not a gamer's mouse, but for most other purposes it gets the job done nicely.

I am not using the supplied dongle. It paired with the iMac's internal Bluetooth without an issue. I did have to install the sotware that came with the mouse though. Prior to installing the software, the iMac wouldn't recognize the mouse.

Yes, there's a lag when the computer is waking up from sleep mode. Other than that, there's no lag.

I recently got a logitech MX Revolution for use with my MBP (yes, it isnt bluetooth). The drivers for that thing are terrible! After installing version 2.4.0 (or whatever the latest from the site is) I had nothing but problems. Mouse would erratically jump around, weird things would happen with filenames, program alerts just plain wouldn't appear. Since there is no uninstaller for the drivers, I had to manually get rid of them. Of course, the mouse is basically useless without them (no middle click even!)

I think I'm done with trying to use Logitech and OSX.

as an update, after returning the Logitech MX revolution I picked up the wireless mighty mouse and so far its been excellent. I haven't loaded SteerMouse yet so the tracking speed isn't quite as high as I'd like but overall the mouse is wonderful. I haven't had any issues with the right click (after learning you need to slightly lift your left finger) and the scrollball is awesome.

Also, I learned that the warranty period ties to the computer it is used on. Since I have AppleCare for my MBP it gives me a 2 year warranty for my mouse in case it gets damaged or stops working.

You can left, middle, and right click on a Mighty Mouse. It does only have 1 "button" however. I think it uses technology similar to the touchpads on the laptops to do the clicks (I think its proximity based...click on the left of the mouse, its a left click, etc).

It does not support "multitouch" in the sense that you cant have your index finger touching the mouse and click with your middle finger and have it register as a right click. It took me all of 10 seconds to get right clicks working 100% of the time.

gotcha. I gotta give that a shot. I feel like an moron for not checking the Mighty Mouse out for thoroughly. I loved it in the store, but thought that it couldn't do right clicks.
