For budget, get the Creative Itrigues on sale for $69.99 after MIR @ compusa right now.

For ultimate, get the klipsch promedia 2.1s for $150.
 
So, the Ceative Labs i-Trigue 3300 2.1 are better than the Altec Lansing ATP3 2.1 ?

See if you can get the EV SonicXS 2.1 speakers from compusa or eBay. They are the absolute best speakers under $100; they will blow away anything in their price class. 245W, enough said.
 
Well, seems i'm getting the klipsch promedia 2.1 for $117. It's over my budget but I am weak and stupid. Hope they'll last...

I got two sets for $50 each, out the door, at CompUSA.

Awesome speakers. Nothing better for under $100 (especially for two sets!)

AWESOME idea. I have them and I love them. You won't regret your decision.
 
Altec Lansing ATP-3's are AWESOME! I have em and the bass is amazing. They also have amazing midrange's and tweeter's. For $50 you can't go wrong.
 
THe GMX are good for their market, which is cheap console\tv speakers. Don't use them for your computer, or kittens will die.
