I carry a balance on one of my AMEX cards at a fixed rate. However, the statement says as of Dec 2nd, the rate will increase to 13.99% variable. So, I cancelled the card and rejected the agreement change to lock in fixed rate..

You might want to consider doing the same if you carry a balance on your AMEX card..
 
Well, I will carry a balance on my card because my blue is 0 percent for almost 6 more months. After that, I won't care since I won't carry a balance beyond the zero percent.
