I've had this problem for awhile, and now it's bothered me enough to try tracking it down. This is page I get in firefox, both regular and private window. NoScript is unavailable(private window), uBlock is turned off...

This is what it looks like in gnome web(correct near as I can tell)...

This is the error code(invalid token?)...

Any ideas?

There should be a way to dump the everything for that site, like for chrome you open dev mode (f12) then right click on the reload icon and hit 'empty cache and hard reload'. Probably a jacked cache object.

I tried Shift-reload, and I get the same page. This has gone on >1yr. I don't often use the wayback machine, so it hasn't been a priority, but it's annoying me now. I keep my browser locked down tight, so I'm used to failures, but this one shouldn't fail. I'm much more lenient with "cool" organizations.

Locking it down tight also means I could've twiddled a knob somewhere and forgot about it. The normal settings look fine afaict, but maybe something in about:config? I don't think so, but maybe.

Tried it on my side with ublock and noscipt enabled (archive.org allowed in noscript) and it seems to be working. Maybe try troubleshooting mode in firefox (choose open not refresh firefox)

Still fails in troubleshoot mode. Made another look in the settings, and I don't see anything. Not sure I feel like trolling about:config :^/

Ok, I forgot about profiles. I had a test profile already listed, and using that the site works. Now I just need to track down the differences. This is probably gonna take awhile...

No issues here with noscript and ublock origin. Firefox's privacy settings are set to Custom and are all maxed out. Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode is on. DNS over HTTPS is on and set to cloudfare and Enable DNS over HTTPS using is set to default protection.

I think it's a lost cause unless I start a brand new profile, and setup everything new. I did hack the shit out of about:config, getting rid of old entries for extensions that no longer exist, and I swear startup feels faster. Might be in my head, but I got rid of a couple hundred kb of stuff so far. It's less than a third the size it was when I started.
