debt recovery... should i just throw em out ;-)

well my mom has been getting this letter from debt recovery and throwing em out...

its address to her well they spelled her name wrong and its towards Mr... anyways its some client called covista and my mom has no recollection of signing up to any bs from that company

i figure whatever just ignore the letters...

its only $43 but still...

ah well i dont know much about this stuff so any input ATOT?

Since it's already with a collection agency, her credit has already gotten a mark against it, whether she signed up for anything or not. Tell her to get it straightened out, starting with the debt recovery company. Don't ignore it!

indeed, I had some company claim I bought some books from them and wasn't paying, the reported it to a debt recovery company, after I finally found out who they actually where, and some lady finally figured out that I had never heard of them (and have never bought books through mail order) they finally fixed thier problem and pulled thier claim from the credit bureau
