I basically have one metaquestion: Is the DEBKAfiles a legitimate source of intelligence analysis? I've heard from word of mouth that it is reliable, and that other news agencies quote it and depend on it. But I don't remember ever hearing about it until recently, when the guy that told me that stuff started sending me links. I trust the guy, but I don't know if he knows what he's talking about. Scary article though...

I would not give this serious thought. Every time the Arab states have attacked Israel, the Israelis have handed them their butts and Israel ends up with more land. I know of no Arab country that can field a decent military and actually fight with it. If they want to attack Israel, I say let them go for it!
