We'll have to wait until the proggies get up to speed on this although they'll be in denial from here to eternity.

Setting up phones and stuff... Such ignorance.

Good job Felix! It's a real bitch trying to keep these simpletons informed. Personally I don't think it's worth the effort anymore because this is the same group that was so emotionally involved in Russia, Russia, Russia! Until they finally realized it was about to implicate their team. Then, it suddenly became a nothing to see situation.

The left - ever blameless.

Bit early to be so drunk. You should get help.

Do you have more information regarding his position?

The right cares about ethics and lies all of a sudden?

Sorry Cons, you put a lying ignoramus conman in the president's chair. You don't get to complain about stuff anymore.
+100. You righties can no longer make any claims of moral failures.

The media legitimized Trump because they wanted a horse race and the DNC sought to legitimize Trump or Cruz as the easily defeatable pied piper candidates. Yes, GOP voters own electing the candidate of their choosing, but you can't deny that during the primary season, the DNC was positively giddy that Trump was suffocating the GOP field. The narrative entering into the conventions was that Trump would split the GOP or that a contender might arise on the convention floor itself. Clinton got the opponent she wanted and it backfired horribly.

The thread title is misleading. This guy wasn't a high ranking anything. But little stories like this are windows into what happens when inevitability is your political strategy. People get lazy. People get complacent. And then you wonder why candidates like Donnie Two Scoops win elections.

Do you have more information regarding his position?
I sure do. Convince me why I should provide the links. If you do a good job I'll provide them. I'm not interested in providing information to people that knee-jerk the sources like schoolchildren. It's a waste of everyone's time.

If you're truly interested though, you would find more value in researching it yourself.

There are four family members involved and rumblings of a fifth individual. Three have already fled the country, Imran Awan was arrested and is being held. This, after fleecing the Congressional Federal Credit Union while posing as his wife to obtain a loan on a house neither of them owned. The CU granted the loan and wired the funds to Pakistan where the others had already fled to. He was attempting to get out of the country.

He worked for various Democrats, some holding positions on committees that dealt with sensitive information. In February the bunch of them had their access cut off when it became too difficult to ignore that they had set up shadow servers which were duplicating information they had access to as IT staffers for these Dem's. It is suspected that they had hacked into servers for which they did not have clearance. What they were doing with this information is unknown at this time or at the very least has not been reported on.

Imran got his brothers involved and his wife. They were pulling down unusually high salaries for the work they were performing. The story finally became too much to ignore when they rented a home they did not even own to a former marine who discovered a lot of IT equipment in the garage. He notified the proper authorities while Imran made several attempts to retrieve the components.

This is a brief summary of what is known to date. It only scratches the surface of what is known. I've been reading about this for the last six or eight months and was wondering when it was actually going to come to a head. This could be very serious for national security. We can't turn back the clock but when will we demand that government officials start acting in a responsible manner? Ever?

All the Dem's this group was working for ditched them when the shit hit the fan. DWS didn't until Imran was apprehended for whatever that is worth.

Democrats did some stupid shit regarding this and they'd been doing it for over a decade in this case. Republicans do stupid shit too. But stupid shit like this needs to be exposed for what it is and there should be some consequences that are commensurate. Do we want to send a message that this type of behavior is not going to be tolerated or do we want to go meh, whatever?

Why are background checks not exposing bad actors like this either before they are hired or after? I think that's more than a reasonable question to demand an answer to. This time it's Democrats, next time it could be Republicans. It doesn't matter what letter they are associated with. We can't tolerate the security breaches any longer.

This thread title?
High ranking Democrat - Debbie Shultz's

In case you didn't notice it's referring to the former chair of the DNC. The Republican's claim is terrorism infiltrated the party as IT workers. Though it appears to be litle more than simple thievery to me as I read the actual news stories and dismiss baseless rumors.

Lol. Give yourself an uppercut.

My mistake, I read the hyphen as claiming the IT guy held more influence than he did.

I also don't think this guy is a terrorist. The alt-right narrative is going into conspiracy territory, but there is a video floating around of DWS awfully concerned about the return of a laptop that Capitol police obtained.

You were not mistaken; the OP misused the hyphen. Given the OP's mastery of the english language, the misuse was likely intentional.

So what you are saying is your "sources" are most likely far right conspiracy sites. I am willing to bet that any link you provide would be full of Seth Rich stories, Jade Helm etc... too.
You realize most of the alt righties in here still fully believe all those Seth Rich conspiracy theories and probably think Jade Helm only didn't become martial law because of their own fine work exposing it or some shit.

Boy, the right wing/ alt-right is really digging deep to come up with anything to distract their base from Drumpf's Russian problems...Sad

Yeah when I post my target audience is more the sane, rational people who happen by who might be drawn in. There's still a chance to save some people here.

It might very well be a misuse of English grammar, but its intended meaning can still be discerned given the surrounding context. Just saying the complaint may have been unnecessary.

I'm more curious about why people think there is anything more to it than thievery? Republicans are connecting the Pakistani = Terrorism dots and there has been ZERO evidence or even a single link to reference so far. I'd like to know the source of that BS. After a moment on google I find this, but those are some weak assertions.

Weak? It's conspiracy theory.

Elaborate. Trump built his entire campaign around "what outrageous thing will he say on Twitter next?"

What the hell does that have to do with "The media"?

The voters wanted exactly what they voted for, Trump wasn't shy in the least and didn't restrict his speeches to press releases nor was the media reporting anything falsely.

The media didn't do a damn thing other than report on what the twit was saying, it was the voters that thought what he was saying was good and thus elected him to Make America Great Again.

The media did more than just report. The media suffocated pretty much every other candidate and narrative by obsessing over Trump's every tweet, and as a result he was able to pivot from a mildly entertaining distraction to a populist anti-establishment threat.

Every other candidate? Are you talking about the primaries because that was before Trump really went berserk on Twitter and the reports about pretty much every candidate were quite prevalent.
