Debating upgrade or not

I currently have the AMD A64 3200+/Asus K8V SE from the AMD promotion a while back.
I'm contemplating the Intel promotion coming up w/the 820 D/Intel mb.
I'm also contemplating the Asrock socket 939 teamed up w/either the new 939 Opteron or the X2.
The only reason i'm not rushing into the Intel setup is because i'd need new ram & video...I'd prefer to use what I already have (See "My Rig").
Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?
Thanks in advance.

X2. The 820 isn;t worth it. What do you do a lot, game, video ? This could affect the decision.

I don't do alot of one thing, but a little bit of everything, if that makes sense.
Will the new Socket 939 Opteron be an upgrade or no?

You got decent parts already man, is it essential that you need to upgrade? You could hold out for another year or so then upgrade to the dual core M2 chips.

I was considering that P-D 820 promo too, since i figured i could make a little money on eBay selling it.

But then i realized it wouldn't be much money made, & i sure as hell wouldn't wanna keep the thing!

I'd say holding off for a while would be fine, but if you're like me, you won't be able to hold off.

I had that same AMD bundle, switched to my Neo2 + s939 Venice OCed, & then added the X2 :D

X2 = teh awesomeness if you encode video alot :D

Yeah, it seems that by the time I'd get the bundle, the demand (if indeed there is one) for this combo will have been diminished & I don't have $225 to throw away.
It's still kind of tempting, however, to go with the Asrock/Opteron combo, tho. If nothing else, I'd have the 939 motherboard that's upgradeable along with a decently performing chip, yes?

The Opteron/Asrock socket 939 setup would be an improvement over what I have now, yes? Also about half the price of the X2?

It seems like more of a hassle than its worth to me to sell it, and I wouldn't want to keep it either, so my suggestion is to hold out for another half a year or so.
