I am a huge gamer, so that is the priority. I use a 19 inch monitor. The game is Battle Field 2 in particular. I am trying to get a video card for $200-$250ish. I'm on sort of a tight budget, so cheaper is definitely better. If I were to get the X1800XT, which manufacturer would you recomend?
On this page on Newegg, there are the X1800XT's. One is for $200. While others are as much as $300. I would love to go for the $200 Saphire, but is it crap?

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated! THANKS!

EDIT:Now I can go up to $350. Also, I have a 19 inch monitor.

I did, and I found a lot of threads made on this. However, I failed to find out about the different manufacturers for the X1800XT. I am leaning towards the X1800XT, but I'm not sure if it's a bad Idea to get the $200 Sapphire from newegg.

I think the only real difference between the X1800XT cards are the warranty provided. Powercooler offers lifetime, I believe, while companies like Sapphire offer only 1 or 2 years.

No, it isn't a bad idea to get the Sapphire one. In fact I've got a Sapphire X1900 and it does great. Powercolor is another company that I hear is pretty good. Sorry for telling you to use the search button, it's just that of all of the red vs. green debates, the X1800XT vs. the 7900GT is the main topic 90% of the time.

sapphire is just fine.

the reality is regardless of manufacturer, they are all the same. the differences would be customer service and/or warranty. sapphire generally has 2 years (PC iirc is lifetime, and BBA is 1 year).

some of the lower end cards have different cooling solutions, but that's about it.

BF2 favors ATi cards. But both cards reach 60+ FPS.

I suggest the X1800XT, but you could wait for the R570. (X1900GT coming soon)

EDIT: There is a X1900XT for under $300. It is OEM, and I forget, is there a warranty on OEM?

Yea, if anything I'd go for that or I think there might be a retail for $320ish? Not really sure, thats a great deal on a X1900XT though.

All the X1900XT's are pretty much the same. The only differece is pretty much the warrenty and sometimes the cooler (HIS)
