Debadged my Mazdaspeed 6

The front badge just snaps in, so I removed it. Though it left some holes in the plastic, they aren't very noticeable and I'd rather have them than the big chrome badge.

Tried removing the rear one but it is both glued as well as either snaps or pins, and I couldn't get it removed even with heating it and using dental floss. The pins stops the floss.

why dont you just paint the badges black...or plastidip them and put them back onto the car? same look but cleaner then holes

I think my favorite de-badged car ever is a Porsche Cayenne. I don't even like those vehicles, but they look nice when they are clean.

Anyways, you do the rear too?

I like debadged cars in most cases, but I gotta say that when there is a big plastic symbol behind it anyway I don't really see the point.

I do think that it looks better non-chrome and agree with the suggestion to paint it black and replace.

I'd def plastidip or paint it over having holes, or swap the grille.

I didn't like the look of the front of my Altima so I got an aftermarket one and painted to match, check it out, similar style would look good IMO.

before style (not my pic):

Looks really stupid when you still got the logo outline on the grille. You need to replace the grille if you wanna be all fresh and shit.

The Caddy with the chrome part of that crest blacked out looks really good. Would not have thought such a small change would make such a big difference. Is the grille surround on that normally chrome, too?

And I agree with everyone who says put the badge back on the Mazda. Paint it if you want it black.

Personally, I like the badge on my 3, but it doesn't float out in the grille (sits on a more horizonal surface in front of the hood like the RX8).

Kinda looks like your car's been vandalized, some good suggestions already posted..

People have said that...personally, I think 'bad collision repair.' Like somebody broke the tabs on the emblem while transfering between bumpers, or installed an aftermarket bumper that didn't hold the emblem in proberly...and she fell out.

That happened to the whole grille on a car of mine where I repaired the front with an aftermarket (stock appearing) bumper and an aftermarket badgeless grille. Heh.

Yeah.

They're super blingy stock. Unless you're a rapper or a raven, the blacked-out look is MUCH classier.

They are actually offering a factory blacked out grill this year. I only tolerate it the chrome since it is stock, but would not opt for it if given the option.

say no to plastidip. that stuff has its purposes but you want something that will last and be tough.

give that plastic chrome a light sand, and spray it with a plastic primer. then, use rustoleum outdoor black grill spraypaint for the final 3 coats (one day between coats, light sand before each new coat). let it dry for a week before install, at least. after a month or so, it will be fully emulsified and hard as a rock. use silicone spray to give it a low gloss velvet look. you wont believe how oem it looks, and it shouldn't chip or scratch from road debris.

I thought about spraying the grille on my S8, but I'm glad I went and bought the badgeless. It look so much better than the S4s I see running around here with spray painted grilles.

Mine was a pain in the butt to get too, I only found 1 UK ebay seller willing to ship to the US.

That one says will not fit Mazdaspeed though. So forget that one if your thinking of going badgeless.

All cars should come with a chrome delete option. It is so tacky looking. I also hate when you get a higher trim level of the same car and they start adding chrome window surrounds or door handles.
