I'd rather go with guillotine myself.

They had an interesting story on History ch. a few years back, a guy who was scheduled to
be guillotine'd was trying to convince that you don't die instantaneously, to prove his point
he said he would blink his eyes as many times as possible after the act. He managed to
blink his eyes 13 times which horrified the audience. Soon after the guillotine was abandoned
as a means of execution.

why do people think freezing to death is a nice way to die?

when it was 20 degrees outside here I was in hell walking to my car to/from class.

& whenever I am cold that guy who died from Cnet pops into my head 🙁

ODing is the easiest way out possible. Hands down that would be my choice. If I found out I had AIDS and was slowly dying, I'd definately make myself OD.

Gun shot to the head, some people have lived from trying this, not something that I want to have any chance of still being alive and in tons of pain from.

OD on drugs, have a bad trip going out, not my cup of tee either, nothing like mass hysteria, flipping out as you die, no thank you.

All the rest are a no go for me, but, freezing to death. Body shuts down, you dont really feel anything, you just slowing shut all systems off and go to sleep, no real chance of survival. Thats my perfect way out from your list of goodies there.

That or jumping out of a plane from 30,ooo feet with no chute.

A girl I know tried to take her life by shooting a .410 shotgun into her head...it didn't work as the shotgun was too long and the angle caused the slug to enter and exit without taking too much brain tissue. I'm amazed that she lived.

Drown in water. Hold your breath till you pass out. Once you're out, water fills lungs, blood becomes de-oxygenated, and you suffocate. But you're unconscious, so you don't really feel anything.

I think it'd be sort of pleasant. Slowly spiral into unconsciousness while watching the reflections the light makes on the surface of the water as you sink.

Of course, if you were stupid enough to breathe in water and your body convulsed that'd suck I bet.

isn't that why they put a bag over your head when you get hanged in the wild west?

OD on drugs would probably be the least painful, might even be a rush. The rest are horrible in their own ways and wouldnt want to die from any of them.

I knew this guy that was tripping hard one night and got smacked by a car. He was clinically dead for a minute or so, but recovered. I only met him after this occured. Needless to say, he was one strange bastard to try and converse with.

Ive heard that drowning is really peaceful and actually doesnt hurt at all.

This from a friend of a math teacher, who had drowned and was revived.

It's the death that causes incredible pain

Just like a bullet in the head will hurt tremendously before dying.

OD on drugs on the other hand is not painful.

And yes, I do speak from inexperience.

I doubt a bullet in the head will hurt at all. There are no nerve endings in the brain for pain perception. Also, the flood of endorphines as soon as that bullet penetrates the dura would take care of the rest....

Most people are conscious during brain surgery, with very little to no anaesthesia. Anaesthesia is usually local, to take care of the incision in the head and or the drill through the skin and skull plate.
