What the hell are the boys and girls at Google thinking, they destroyed the best looking web UI for email ever. It's slow, buggy, ugly themes, bad spacing, terrible layout. It ruins my workflow habits which have been developed over years of Gmail use.

This is New Coke all over again!

I didn't like it much at first, but if you change it to "compact" it's not too bad. I'm kind of used to it.

It looks like Google+ puked on it.
I switched back to classic and can't figure out how to switch back to the new style.
I hope they never force it.

I don't think it's that bad. I just wish they would stop trying to cram Google+ down our throats.

Yeah... pretty sure this is yet another "issue" that will be bitched about on AT and nowhere else.

I've been using it for awhile and don't particularly like the lack of contrast in colors that exist now. It's not horrible, but I definitely preferred the old style.

My only complaint is that when I try to drag messages to different folders it doesn't always work. It's quite a bit more finicky than the last UI in that respect.

If you thought the old interface was nice, you have the worst taste ever. It was a cluttered mess. The new interface is nice and clean. Switch the view to "Compact" and get used to it.

Switching Gmail back to compact mode makes it tolerable. I actually find the new layout much faster.

He said 'pretty sure' rather than 'definitely'.

The old GUI was horrible and tacky looking, the new one is far better and cleaner.

What was his evidence for pretty sure?
Both he and you seem to be making the same argument: "I like it better therefore no else is even discussing this".

Outlook will not be part of future Office installments. They want you to use that Live bullshit.

I don't think I've used "current" office software for at least 5 years anyway. So Office 2010 should suite me to 2020 and there's always decent alternatives.

What are the plans for exchange then?
