A running 1970 Chevy Nova driven by Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) in Quentin Tarantino’s entry in the Grindhouse double-bill Death Proof. Aptly named “Death Proof,” this vehicle was designed to survive any impact. The car was created and driven on screen by sadistic Stuntman Mike, who used the intimidating vehicle to stalk and terrorise young women.

Curious if those estimates are semi-accurate. $64k for the Nemo car seems like a bargain for the craftsmanship and labor hours invested on such a unique one-off vehicle build. Assuming it is listed that low due to the fact that it isn't legal on UK (and probably US) roads.

Most movie/TV cars only look good on camera. They are shells that barely run if they run at all.

Did you look at the pics for the Nemo car? The engine bay looks like a "Pic-a-Part" victim. Also there are visible cracks in the fiberglass fenders. That car is going to be extremely rough in person. For 64K you could build a replica that looks and runs better.

British cars don't catch on fire. Any short circuits due to poor wiring are safely interrupted by loose connections further back, which reduce the amount of current that the system can sustain far below that needed to actually do anything.

Its not so much the look (build one yourself- nemo car) its that it is the ACTUAL car. Chevy Nova's have a loyal following and are considered classics (I strange as it is, actually have one myslef)and command some value, but when its the actual car from the movie, not just a car that looks like it, often the value is much more even if its patched together. That can be used in a bar, restaurant, attraction, people will come just to look. thta fiberglass on Nemos car is not cracked , most likely just paint, you see it on most old fiberglass it flexes so much the paint cracks. I am wondering what the huge stove hole in the NOVA was for, blow blood on a face that slammed a dash? or????

wouldnt want either, both movies where a flop, I doubt many people would know the nemo car, as for Deathproof, ehh.. I remember in the early 90's the Ghostbuster wagon was for sale, and nobody bought it, it was setting in Universal lot, looked horrible all rusty and un-cared for with about 30-50 other car props from movies.
