book 3 is sort of a let down.

Frank Miller's books are good..

the Dark Knight returns and
the Dark Knight returns 2 ?(dont know the exact title)

are awesome!!!

Man, you didn't know this? The Death of Superman comic was release about 10 years ago, he was killed by some ugly green guy, whose name I forgot (I think it was Bane or something like that). I have two copies, one was mint condition, in plastic, and the other was open to read, mint. My mom gave them away (along my entire comic books collection) to some kids when I went to Marine boot camp. Still hunting for the kid. 🙁

D.C. was in a rut when they pulled that stunt. The whole thing was all over the news and such. It turned people's attention back to D.C. long enough for them to scrape-up some extra cash and get some new fans. After they milked his dead for all it was worth, they brought him back.(In 4 forms if I'm not mistaken) The come-back was mildly succesful but the dead was nothing more than a quick-cash fix.

U might..
(become rich cause of the comic books.. keep em in mint condition....)

hopefully they dont become worthless like basketball cards...

any one need a Leroy Jones card? (MJ in disguise.. when he retired for the first time)

if you count steel, i think its technically 5.

but yeah, thats relativly common in DC comics. killing of characters and not keeping them dead.
in fact, supergirl was recently brought back after like 20 years or something. (and that was supposed to be a big death.)
lets hope flash stays dead.

oh crap, I think I have the death of superman comics! got it at the del mar fair when I was a kid (10 years ago)
