In cases like this where there is admission of the crime I think the laws should have a penalty of death. Not the one we have currently either. One where the person is moved from the jail and executed that day. The guy admits his guilt, the courts have convicted him of the crimes. Keeping him alive the rest of his life serves no purpose and could be deemed inhumane if the guys mental status declines.

Depending on who's statistics you choose to believe on this Hotly debated topic:

http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/time-death-row 153 months (12 3/4rs years)

The newspaper Cornell Sun says 12 years:
http://cornellsun.com/section/opinion/content/2009/09/25/death-row-cruel-and-unusual-wait

Texas DoC says 10 years on average:
http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/stat/drowfacts.htm

Wiki says: That Conneticut has executed only 1 person since 1976 (That's Thirty Four Years ago). The same article also says there are 10 people currently on Death Row.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Connecticut

My prediction is the sentence(s) will most likely be commuted to Life, quietly, and well after the fact.

Probably, but perhaps at the least this sentence will prevent his being released on weekend passes. (Though you never know when a state is this liberal.)

They shoot horses, don't they?

That's Texas. ^_^

{edit} Though CT are rumored to shoot the occasional Texan, if that helps..

Anyways - This guy will sit in prison after his sentence gets commuted On Appeal to a life sentence. Conneticut will wait until they feel the case is sufficiently off the radar before doing this. His partner will likely get the same treatment.

Hopefully, CT will at least revoke their Parole priveledges, considering these guys were on parole when they commited this crime.

haha lol, get off your cousin.

I'm not on my cousin, I'm on your mom. And she's so fat I had to roll her in flour and aim for the wet spot just to identify the right roll of fat. Wouldn't have been worth it except she paid me - seems your college fund was a waste and she might as well enjoy what's left of it.

You live in the bible belt otherwise known as the stroke belt by medical professionals. I wouldn't spend my time talking about overweight people if I were you. Your state also receives more money then it pays so I wouldn't talk about government handouts either.
