Death by radiation?

Last night I was watching a national geographic show on submarine disasters, and a portion of it was about a crew that was exposed to radiation. They showed some dramatizations of their deaths and it looked pretty gruesome. Does anyone have any websites bookmarked that explain the different symptoms of radioactive exposure and what causes them?

It's caused by...well, radiation. If you go over a certain amount of REM's (Roetgen Equiv. in Man), you can start getting different symptoms, since radiation is cumulative, it builds up over time. If you work in a facility, you're more than likely to be taken out of there before you pass the legal limit set by the NRC. Nuclear war or an accident like Chernobyl is different. But dude, you do NOT want to know what the symptoms of radiation sickness or the affects or pictures look like. Dramatizations are nothing like it. First, your hair and teeth start falling out and hemmoraging and mutation and...ugh. I don't even want to go into it. It's really sick stuff, and if you live thru it, you will have a really high chance for cancer and genetic mutation if you have offspring.

play fallout 2, after you pass a certain amount of rads, you can turn into a mutant 🙂

Completely untrue ofcourse.
A bald, toothless person who has weird skin mutation who is hemmoraging is a mutant imo.

Naa, if radiation affect you that much you would die already. Especially the hemmoraging, because it happens a lot more internally.

Tell that to the people of Nagasaki and Hiroshima who lingered for days before they died while their skin peeled off, they bled from cracks in their skin, they were blind, teeth did fall out along with hair.

If you want to see radiation effects, search up WWII and Nagasaki/Hiroshima.
