I think i first heard it like 10 years ago when I worked at a club in downtown Springfield... and seriously, it hasn't stopped since. I hear someone drive by playing it at least once a day.

The fucked up thing about nortena (the shitty folk music with the accordian) is that it could be a narcocorrido, which is their "gangsta" music. It is a folk song that glorifies the exploits of a narco. And the narcos make American inner city gang bangers look like pussies.
