What the hell happened to you? You used to be delicious; your nut-nougat-caramel filling cloaked in delicious milk chocolate.

Now, you're barely recognizable, your peanuts are sometimes mushy, the nougat tasteless. Worst of all, the brown substance you wear as a coat only marginally resembles chocolate; it's so artificial that washing it down with diet pepsi (blech!) is an improvement.

Cliffs: I just had a Snickers out of my kid's halloween candy. They're fucking terrible now.

candy, overall, sucks nowadays. i sat down yesterday in front of all the candy the kids and realized how horrible it has gotten. doesn't taste good anymore.

This is true.

Candy nowadays is smaller, more expensive, and the quality seems to have gone down.

Or it could just be that as you get older, your enjoyment of candy as a child starts to fade.

Candy still tastes awesome, but it does seem like the general quality has gone down some from how it was 10+ years ago.

candy tastes awesome, but the fun-size mars/hersheys/etc candy tastes like crap. go to a chocolatier and get something and you're like punched in the mouth with flavor.

lindt truffles? frigging awesome.
bite-size snickers? fuck that.

Negative. Milky Way is a Snickers with half the good stuff missing. Don't get me started on 3 Musketeers. That's the ghetto snickers that's had everything good removed to save cost, yet it for some reason it costs the same.
 
Hershey's doesn't make chocolate anymore. They press together sugar, vegetable oil, and a teeny little bit of cocoa powder mostly for color and call it "chocolate." Although I don't think they're allowed to call it chocolate, legally they're only allowed to call it "chocolatey" or something.
 
I've never had mushy peanuts in a Snickers. I'm not sure what you ate, but it's probably a good idea to induce vomiting.
