"God isn't one of us" Speak for yourself.

Matthew 11
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

I was being literal. As in he's talking as if God is a member of the Anandtech forums.

" don't believe you exist, but if you do, I need your help. I'm so down on myself about everything. I cannot find any peace or happiness. I'm always feeling lost, alone and inadequate. This is going to end up costing me the most important thing in the world if I can't find the strength to deal with this. I've given up looking within myself. The strength just isn't there. I need your help. I need you to carry me just like you did to that guy in the "Footprints" story."

ONLY AN UNFOUNDED HYPOTHESIS BY MYSELF.NOTHING MORE:

It ends up breaking down like this. There is a certain instinct for survival that many of us run into time after time. The probablitity is probably high that you will run into it in moments of crisis, however, that does not mean it will force you to act on its behalf. This shows restraint, which is a good quailty in quite a few situations. However, with continued restraint, this instinctive atitude towrds survival is consistintly repressed as it is not needed in comparison to, lets say, a Gaul or a caveman or something. This obviously conflicts with ones instincts, and the body and the psyche adjusts. Obviously, from experince, it is quite easy to notcie those that excel and those that remain in a myriad of states such as depression. Because there is no inherent purpose to life, the mind, along with the developed conscience is confounded. With deep thought and contemplation about one's own defionition of purpose or educated step-by-step walkthorughs of how to definie ones foundation to oneself, calmness can be reached. From what I've heard Buddahism teaches something like this, of course I might be wrong.

From what I read, you are not actively reacting to situations or actions. Call it sloth or whatever it is that you call such a thing, but it is definitely problematic in its consequences. To merely bruish it off as a lack of physical or emotional strength is quite preposterous to some, and quite reasonable to others. What you must realize is the futility of your inaction. NOTHING WILL COME. NOTHING IS WAITING. Your result, whether already divinely mandated, mathimatically proven, or simply random, are dependant on your role, and subsequent participation.

REGARDLESS OF RELIGIOUS AND SOCIAL BACKGROUND, try to do this:

1) Definie your purpose for being here. If nothing comes, think about why you cannot think of a reason.

Many people, religious and secular, sometimes feel unworthy of something. Be it existance as a whole, or just one of life's details, it only serves to hold them back. Refrain from thinking in terms of restrictions, and focus on available possibilites.

2) Define something you like, be it a candy/treat, a kiss from a gorgeous women, or the smell of the woods at 6am when the sunrise is seemingly late for its prompt arrival. Then definie how ridiculous you are willing to act to relive that moment or redo that experiencde simply for the contentment you will reap.

I can go on forever, but it will still remian important that you define your core consciental routines and definitions.

What most people DO realize isthat although they no longer have to strive vicariously on a day to day basis to escape death.
What most people DO NOT realize is that they have to strive vicariously to define the meaning of their lives, and use that to constantly definie and mold themselves.

EDIT: Just a thought.

Some days seem hopeless and filled with sadness, but they are not all so.

Who says he isn't? I'm sure God needs help with his PC problems now and then (and probably gets in a little neffing, too). You think God uses a Macintosh or something? People have gone to Hell for less than that. :p

You'd have better luck writing that letter in a diary or something.

I dunno, I don't associate ATOT with salvation... :p
