I have a sister, but she is way older than me. I had a girlfriend, but never one during their birthday ... for anniversaries and what not, flowers always worked. i don't have that kind of relationship with this girl though ...

Yes flowers is perfect for BD...just ask your female friends or your mom. And, it also mean that you care for her in this tender/difficult time. Flowers dosen't have to mean that you want to get into her pants.

The best give is to give and not woring about getting something in return. Think of what you would like for a gift and make it for the oposite sex (of course a piece of silicon is not apropriate)

Hehe, well you have 1/2 hour to think of something to get her. Since she's only 17, I doubt she'll appreciate the act of giving so the pressure is on! That didn't help, did it?
