Dear Ford :

Please build a 4-door FR sedan vehicle based on the Mustang drivetrain. Stretch it a little, give it it's own unique styling that's a little more muscular looking than the Fusion, but not a knock off of the Mustang either. Make sure the weight stays in the near range of the Mustang so that the fuel economy doesn't suffer much. Make sure to offer proper manual transmission models. A 'GT500' variant isn't necessary, but the V6 and 5.0 are critical. If Shelby can be bothered to make a hot version, let him.

Thanks for your consideration 🙂

They already do make pretty much what you're asking for, the Ford Falcon. It just isn't sold in the states.

XR6 Turbo (6cyl turbo) - 360hp 393ft-lbs

Boss 315 & Boss 335 (5.0L Supercharged) - 422hp 402ft-lbs & 450hp 420ft-lbs respectively

Shelby didn't have shit to do with the S197 GT500.

I wasn't referring to the GT500 (other than a GT500 variant isn't wanted by me for this car), but I did think he had something to do with the new GT350, which seems a lot better vehicle than the GT500 afaik.

Bingo. If Charger, G8, BMW, G35 (eg higher performance RWD 4 door sport sedans) etc popularity in the US is any indication, Ford is retarded for not bringing the Falcon to the states.

I would totally rock one of these as a stock daily driver.

Just FYI, the Ford mustang platform actually began life as a 4 door rwd sedan, used in the Lincoln LS. It was modified to get it to work in the 2 door mustang.

S197 is half dew98 and half focus.

lincoln LS was a very nice car that was a bit bland and didn't market well enough to yups.

That car would have up to 1 buyer, I bet even OP would want something else by the time it is produced.

There's no market for mainstream RWD sedans in USA. Ford actually has more diversified sedan products than most. They have 2 econoboxes and 2 sedans that carry V6.

I agree 100% I would buy one right now.
They could call it a "Galaxie" ... bring back the old name.
