Dear ATOT: Where Should I Vote This Year?

ViRGE

Thanks to the miracle of vote by mail, for the last decade I have been able to enjoy voting from wherever I please. While I take the deliberation/decision process itself seriously, I have always made the formal act of voting a bit more amusing with a bit of pageantry. Specifically, I try to vote in unusual locations/situations.

2002: At my desk like a normal person (boo!)
2004: On the throne (where better to make a political declaration?)
2006: Underwater
2008: Joined the mile-high civics club
2010: In a graveyard (dead people deserve a vote, too)

Now as the 2012 election comes around I need to decide where I should vote, and quite frankly I'm out of good ideas. My original idea to vote while in congress was vetoed by the other party, and my backup plan of voting at 1:30am on Sunday (the missing hour due to the time change) just isn't as cool.

So what should I do, ATOT? Which cool places (or in the middle of doing cool things) would be a good place to make my voice heard?😛 I'm counting on you to make my 2012 voting experience as memorable as the rest.

Doh!

Sky diving?
Sky diving isn't going to be practical.🙁 The weather won't be good enough for it, and it's highly unlikely I'd be able to hold on to the ballot (or a pen) during the ordeal.
Ask the whole bus. Have everyone vote on how you should vote.
I already know who and what I'm going to vote for; this is merely to decide where I vote. So I could do it on the bus, but the other riders won't get a say.😛

Some ideas:

Vote while:

bungee Jumping
driving (can you vote by text yet?)
pogo sticking
base jumping
under the influence of alcohol (i.e., when you are gloriously shitfaced)
singing karaoke
in a porta potty (reflective of both candidates)
undergoing a colonoscopy (fitting, seeing as how either candidate is likely to BF us)
seeing a shrink (i.e., the one person who might lie to you more than either candidate)

Used to be Social and Rehabilitation Services. Apparently, they've changed the name to DCF: Department for Children and Families - here, anyway. YMMV
Ahh. That would be the DHS, Department of Human Services here.

Of those I think karaoke is probably the only practical one. The rest either are dangerous (driving, pogo sticking) or impractical for the same reason as sky diving. But please keep the ideas coming.🙂

Get arrested for something stupid, nothing that will land you with a long jail time and vote from the back of the police car.

That means he would vote democrat :\

Nah, it doesn't matter who you vote for, you're fucked either way. You can do your patriotic duty and vote for Jill Stein or Gary Johnson, but you'll still be stuck with Obama or Romney which equals fucked.

Social Security Administration office. Might as well get a chance to "use it" at least once before they get shut down, right?

Update: While the police car idea was impractical (I really don't want to get arrested) I liked the spirit behind it. So thanks to a few connections I was able to pull of voting in the back of an FBI black SUV, with federal agents "protecting" me during the process.😀

Of course it ended up costing me nearly $100 in food & drink, but it's worth it.😛

Now to start planning for 2014...

Fill out the mail-in form at a polling location.

"I don't want to bother the police. They might think it's shady, and maybe arrest me. OOH! FBI! FBI!!!!! LET ME GET IN YOUR VAN!"

😀
