wow, only $100 to feel better about yourself. Well done...
You're a moron. The fact he wants to donate anything at all is a very nice thing, many people would think twice before donating $10, never mind $100.

I devote several hours a week to volunteering at a local youth organisation. If I were to be paid what I earn at work, it would work out at over $200 per week, every week.
Some token $100 is nothing, especially since the kid above is apparantly loaded.

The above reminds me of celebrities that splash out $1000 to some charity, then spend $10,000 on shoes for themselves... It's a PR thing to make them feel better about themselves, and hardly a sacrifice.
Of course every little helps for the charities, so I guess everyone's a winner... the charities get a small donation and the person providing the donation feels a lot better about himself. Awesome.

Hey man, for the past 7 years I've donated my time at my former highschool's hamper drive, and my family donates over $100,000 to Vancouver General Hospital, The Canadian Cancer Society and the Lupus Society (because my mom has lupus).

But I want to do something on my own.

There you go again! 😛 j/k. Donations are always a good thing. I usually spread my donations throughout the year instead of one lump sum.

Well my family can afford to do it, and we give them to causes we have a apersonal connection with.

My mom was in the hospital for a year after I was born, because of complications with her lupus. Thats why we donate there.

My dad has heart disease, which is why we donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My mom also has Lupus so thats why we donate there.

I just think any little bit counts...

Haha that's like serena williams getting criticized for offering to donate some measly sum per ace she served... obviously, anything is better than nothing, but she went out of her way to brag about it to the media.

but anyhoo, for op

I voted local SPCA. With all the Katrina coverage, many local charities are being forgotten. (I'm not trying to take away from Katrina victims.)

Pak earthquake. They need it the most. A lot of them are going to freeze to death if they dont get help.

pakistan earthquake.

i remember buying your sager laptop from you.. is that what the whole bank thing was ?

Any animals charities get my vote.

there are loads of ppl who donate to ppl charities and by comparison, animals often get left behind.

Whatever you do, keep the donation domestic.
Yeah, give the money to your parent's domestics so they can buy their kids some Christmas presents.

Ironically, most domestics aren't domestic, so you'll be ignoring Nik's xenophobic advice as well. That's what's called a Win-Win situation!

I would say the Katrina fund and some of the others if it would actually do any good, but since the government doesn't know how to manage or spend the money wisely, I vote for the Penny Arcade Childs Play

It's hardly xenophobic, Trollnose. I'd much rather see my own country taken care of before the rest of the world. Call me lots of other things, but I'm hardly afraid or contemptuous; I just value people in my own community more than I do some no-name-face in another country.

Note, I'm not from 'your own country'.
