Howard Dean's off-the-cuff (not so)straight talk helped propel him to the front of the Democratic presidential field. It's a style he would not think of abandoning, but one that's forcing him to be more careful with his words.-bracketed is mine;)

Dean is learning that his own words can be his worst enemy in his pursuit of the nomination. He is trying to find a balance between his sharp retort and his tendency to say things so quickly that he will regret them later.

Will the real Howard Dean please stand up? ...or is this all we get? :p

His blunt style is exactly why I'll vote for him.... he blurts out his true opinion... his TRUE opinion... Dean is the man.

I will not go as far as to say "Dean is THE man," . . . but he's a decent option to Bush . . . that's a start.
