Some don't and won't.

The Bradley endorsement means little in the big picture - but it does ad weight to him getting the Dem nod. Ofcourse 'ol Tom Harkin here in Iowa could cause some heartburn for Dean if he endorses Gephardt as the rumor mill keeps saying.

As much as people knock Dean, and say hes a disaster for the Democratic party, or no chance against Bush, hes been gaining nothing but more momentum.

Doesn't matter Pat Robertson was told by God that Bush will win in a landslide.

I don't know about that. The last few weeks, Dean's been on the strict defense. He's been berated from both sides. Alot of Democrats are screaming bloody murder about his inevitable primary victories. Clark is gaining on him in both national and Southern (Feb 3) primary polls. Both Time and Newsweek have negative cover stories on him. His verbal gaffes have been spun out of proportion, and he hasn't been able to successfully defend himself. All news the public hears about him is bad.

Alot of us in the Dean camp are hunkering down because we're in for a bloodbath (that's why I haven't posted here much recently - because I have no more free time). To be quite honest, I'm scared that we won't win the nomination, and its the first time I've felt that way. So I suggest all of you here who support Dean to do what you can. Canvass locally. Write letters to Iowa. Contribute money to win the Feb 3 states. The nomination is not a lock anymore, and part of that reason is that too many Dean supporters rested on their laurels at the end of last year because the nomination seemed in the bag. The constant attacks on Dean are working, and there's currently not enough defense set up against it.

I think everyone's waiting for Bill Clinton's declaration of support. As much as I hated the man's foreign policy and the way he treated the military, I must say that he was good for the economy and I'll respect his decision. But if he chooses the diminutive Howard the Duck, it'll make me sick. Hopefully he chooses a candidate that's good for the party, one that represents his economic/welfare/centrist legacy, or I'll protest and pay him a visit at the Powell Building on 125th Street in Harlem.

Hes only gained momentum in his own party. Internal democrat polls show Dean losing in a landslide to Bush, then again all their internal polls show Bush beating all the candidates by 25-30 percentage points. Dean has had some major gaffes that you people seem to over look. Hes out right lied 5+ times. When confronted with the facts he just shrugs, and then later spouts more out right lies that he promptly gets corrected. If the democrats had a decent candidate Dean would get beat so badly, but right now hes the best of the bunch, and that bunch is incompetent at running for president. Dean can dish it out but cant take it, and hes in for a world of hurt, once the gloves are off. He has a past, and that past and his shady dealings will come out.

He says hes against lobbyists, etc, etc, but thats simple BS, because he just like everyother politician has his own set of lobbyists. Dean isnt any different that anyother one. His problem is hes going to lose more and more credibility as his gaffes add up, his records come out, and as he tries to go from farther left than the Clintons, to more moderates.

Get used to it, Bush will be re elected, and by a landslide, it would take a miracle for it not to happen. Im all for a strong two or more party system, and right now the democrats have dropped the ball big time. And if they dont start getting their sh!t in gear, there party will not survive. I agree with the 35-40% of the party that wants to get rid of the Clintons, but I dont agree with going farther left. They think by going farther left, they are going away from Clinton.

All that said, theres not a single credible poll out there that shows Dean standing a chance. And its pretty sad when your party doesnt even believe in you. If Dean gets the nod he will lose by a landslide, and not only that, he will cost the democrats senate and house seats. The democrats own numbers predict a 4-6 seat Senate loss, and a 6-10 seat house loss. The later number will likely double with the recent federal court ruling about Texas congressional lines. The democrats are in for a rocky ride over the next 10 months.

The Clintons WILL NOT declare support of Howard Dean. Akthough they probably are hoping he wins so he can get slaughtered in the general election and then they would make it seem the Clintons "swooped in and saved the day for the democrats again".

They are not attackes if they are true. Dean has done the real attacking, almost everything he has said about his opponents has been false. The reason Dean isnt a lock is because the majority of the democrat party doesnt want him. He has about 35% of the democrat party behind him, which would be enough to win in the primaries.

Anybody that believes that Dean is really going to do this can buy that bridge Dave has been offering to sell.

What about a Dean / Clark or Clark / Kerry or Dean / Kerry ticket ? Which would be the best combo ?

Anything without Kerry.
