Yeah, right. I think that we can all agree that there will be NO deals on cheap GPU's this Black Friday.

Consider yourself lucky if you can find one for double MSRP this Christmas season.

That said, let us know what holiday 2021 specials you do find out there!

Oh, come on now, you don't think that retailers are going to fire-sale and unload their GT 710 and 730 cards, because they are no longer supported by current drivers?

Bargains to be had! :p

Right now the Ryzen 5600G has gone up $20! to $241.99. I should of pull the trigger a week ago at NewEgg! Amazon price here, NewEgg is prices up $50 now! Still hoping for $200.00 at Black Friday and CyberMonday!
If the 5700G goes to $250, that the one I going get for sure but 5600G is my backup CPU. Which one hits that price threshold 1st is my CPU buy!

Still @ $1,600 not too bad in todays climate for new beast mode card. What's that like maybe $400 over suggested MSRP? Hurts less on a 6900XT than it does compared to a 3060 Ti or 3060 :/

Also love the physical switch for choosing Silent/Efficient mode and OC Beast mode. Plus the built in ARGB control AND the ability to hook it into the motherboard not to have to deal with another stupid bloated ARGB management software.

At least it appears to be a premium card for that price. That's all I am sayin'.

About the Red Devil: Top tier 2080tis were selling for that a couple of years ago. That is simply where the high end is now. Even without the world going full derp, price creep was going to ensure $1000 and up for flagship cards.

As to deals, that is now a relative term. The shuffle, Best Buy drops, and Microcenter are about as good as it gets here in the states. I paid $449 for a 3060 from the shuffle, which is definitely a deal in this market. And if you throw your old Ferengi math calculator away, you will adjust much faster to the current timeline. E.G. MSRP, or what that 3060 should cost in the old timeline makes it seem like a bad buy. But, it has 4GB more ram, newer feature set, and better performance per watt than the 2060 super I paid $400 for. Good enough for $50 more. All of the ranting, raving, whining, etc. just tells me which stage of the Kübler-Ross model they are experiencing. :p

To conclude: The only way to get a vid card deal now, to reiterate, is throw away your old Ferengi math calculator and start embracing the new math. Because prices ain't going back to "normal" anytime soon, if ever.

I'd imagine that prices will stabilize eventually. You just need to wait for the Intel GPU's to launch, and for Ethereum to migrate to Proof Of Stake. At that point, the miners will start dumping their cards and you'll be able to get something cheap.

Yeah to my understanding the Red Devil cards are pretty much the premier model these days for Radeons. Often edging out Sapphire Nitro cards slightly as of recently.

Yup. And I need look no further than r/PCMR to see that n00bs are stoked to pay top dollar for a new vid card. They constantly post pics of the card riding in the car, seatbelt on, like a beloved child, all excited to tell you how they got it from Best Buy or Microcenter without paying the scalpers. :D As the meme would have it - The call is coming from inside the house.

Thankfully, I don't really need a new video card right now. My 2060 Super is still good enough for 1440p gaming.

I could afford something like a GeForce 3070 at MSRP, but I'm not paying scalper prices for one.

I'm waiting for a 3080 at $850 or 6800XT at $800 max. Doubt I'll see that this year and I think Intel will be pricing based on current prices rather than original MSRP of competitors - not to mention availability isn't going to be great with current shortages and shipping nightmares.

Earlier this year I was able to snag two 3080's for family members for ~$900 each. It's a hustle but... it can happen. Maybe. :/ I tried to get more but no luck.

Everything is marked up some now! Even the lowest graphic card; the 1030 is up there and they even created a retro 1030 spec card using DDR4 just to confuse matters and sucker the public into buying this lower card instead of the higher price; faster DDR5 card that is only 30% more in cost but is like 2-3X as fast.

I scalped a 3080FE on Ebay for $1300 shipped *(courtesy of a stimulus check) LAST December/early Jan ..... wasn't sure if I should pull the trigger at the time but now I'm damn sure glad I did.

Same cards are selling used for more than I paid new right now. :confused_old:
