I was actually going to ask for suggestions on a ~$25 LED flashlight...they have a bunch of CREE based models, but I don't know what's good or not. I don't need anything fancy, mostly just something for nighttime security when I'm out walking in a city that I'm visiting.

Visiting? You live close enough to detroit rock city that you'd need it walking around at home!
