This guy has (2) WTB and (3) FS/FT posts on the 1st page. I thought we were supposed to combine and have maybe one of each (2) total.

Looks like the MODs applied the appropriate padlocks.

Rainguy (et al), your post brings up something thats been bugging me. What is the acceptable way of posting multiple unrelated items? I've often had a number of posts in the FS/T forum, I've generally given unrelated items their own threads examples:

FS: Tecra Laptop
WTB: Axis Network Camera
WTT: Matrox G450 AGP for Matrox G450 PCI
FS: Packard Bell remotes

These are examples, from previous sales I've done. I've been doing it that way for two main reasons a) I find that I browse the titles in the first couple of pages of the forums to see what catches my eye, I presume others do the same and b) this allows nonsubscribers a chance to find my item via search.

I've tried to be very carefull about not bumping all of them at the same time (generally no more than one or two regardless of how many are outstanding at any one time). Would be be considered reasonable? Is the basic rule 'don't be obnoxious about it'?

Comments/Suggestions welcome,
Bill

Bill, it is not for me to say (I don't make the rules) but, generally 2 current posts by any individual should suffice and make it fair for all. In your example you could easily do two posts:

FS/FT: Tecra Laptop, Matrox G450 AGP, Packard Bell remotes
WTB/WTTF: Axis Network Camera, Matrox G450 PCI

In the Matrox case you can get people to look at it from two angles and some of the wording could be similar or the same. The exception I see could be with large ticket items (maybe a laptop like this) having their own thread so as to give it special attention. I could see that on items over $1000 but, there is no saying that it would not sell in a thread mixed with other items. I guess just using good judgement (which you appear to have after reading your posts ;)) is the best bet.

Just my $0.02
