I haven't received my Plextor yet, but I got a tracking number, and Onvia has a warehouse in Orlando, 50 miles away from me! Talk about next day shipping even though it was ground shipping! It should be here in an hour or two.

There's a $45 off $200 coupon for Onvia at GotApex, but I haven't tried it. You have to use your American Express card, though. I hate American Express. Except their Blue Card, but yeah.

that code may say its $45 off 200, but it really is $25 off 200 if you try it. and you DON'T have to use AMEX to purchase...i bought a plextor 12/10/32 with the code and a visa...works no prob...

I just checked it out and its not a $45 off $200 coupon. it is using a $25 off coupon and 10% from pointclick you can get $45 off a $200+ purchase

Also, those posts dealt with the product when it was out of stock. I thought I might revive it to try to get peoples attention.

If you had taken the time to do a search for "Plextor", you would have seen the numerous other posts on this very same product.

Also, had you searched and read the other posts, you would have seen that this product has NEVER been out of stock.

Your comment regarding whether this board is about "information, not credit" is totally irresponsible if you are trying to make people believe that you were the person who "discovered" this hot deal, because you aren't--it was discovered by Krunk, not you, and it was posted a month ago.

Krunk deserves ALL of the credit for having discovered this deal, and if you wish to post about it, either post in HIS thread, post in the one that gave credit to him for finding the deal, or give credit to him yourself, but DON'T try to make people believe that you're the one who found it.

however, i appreciate the info aspect of it as a lot of people never even click that search button. Like pointclick ? has been asked a 100 times and I even asked about it. There should be a thread everybody could just go to to find out about it. my $0.02

I just got my drive and it is excellent. Burns a 700mb cd in around 6:30. This drive is super fast, easy to install, and the price isn't bad. Highly recommend.

I received my drive yesterday at around 3PM! Talk about next day service. The packing for the box was sweet!

I haven't been able to do any writing yet but it comes with a Yaiyoyuden CDR and a Ricoh CDRW at 12x and 10x respectively (sweet!) Can't wait to make some audio CD's and backups.

Plextor rules!

Finally got around to doing some writes...

It was awesome! I first burned an audio CD and it turned out perfect except for one thing... don't put a 160kbps song on the cd, or else it is completely blank... that happened to me on one of my tracks.

I also burned 350megs on a cdrw in under four minutes.

I also ripped an audio cd in about five minutes, 30 seconds each track (as opposed to two minutes per track that I was getting before a plextor!)

Plextor is the bomb.
