Actually, I was flipping thru the channels on TV today and caught an ad for this contest. Don't ask me what channel it was, I don't know. I just caught the tail end of it mentioning the movie and showing the tvguide website and where to look for the contest icon.

Same here, I dunno why all these people doubt its legitimacy, apparently they don't do any research before screaming out, ITS NOT LEGIT!

Anyway, I saw the ad on TV, so its legit as far as that goes. If it wasn't legit, I doubt they would pay for an ad on TV. That's not to say that its perfectly managed and everyone who gets the winning message will correctly get the software as well.

BTW, I wasn't aware that MS flight sim was banned in NY, is there anything else that's banned there also? I moved to CA about a year ago so fortunately I'm not affected, but I'm curious about it.

I saw the usual congratulatory statement after trying so many times...How do I really know if I won? Do I receive any email validating my winning entry? Checked my email and saw nothing coming fm the promotion site.

Like I said in an earlier post, I've never rec'd a winner confirmation notice from any MS promo. They just ship out the item.

Finally got in on it. Keep forgetting about it, even though I've been up late enough to do it. Got myself a copy, then entered for my brother, who has always bought the latest Flight Sim until 2002 came out.
