Last week, we had our Burt Reynolds Special Trans Am, this week we're going more "David Hasselhoff". The car looks like it got a lot of TLC over the years, has documented service, has GM's nice 305 paired with a 5-speed manual. However, it IS an 80's car, so expect stupid design flaws and leaky t-tops at some point. Nice price for retro performance though.

So, what say you? Deal or no deal?

Ok, these threads are getting a little much. Can't you keep it in one thread or something?

Are you looking to buy a vehicle, or just posting a lot of ads?

I agree, make a thread and put everything in one place. This is just spam.

I like these threads. Keep them coming.

On this one, I'd say it's a deal —*if you can get it for a bit less than $9,000.

It's to get people talking about cars in here, which we don't do. There's like 5 posts a day here if we're lucky.

If you don't like them, fine, I'll stop and start hanging out somewhere else.

Are you looking to buy a vehicle, or are you just upping the search rank for the ads you're linking to though? 😛

No, I'm getting people to talk about cars in a car forum and realize there's more out there than a 2008 Honda Civic.

I like these threads I just wish some of them were 'deals'. I don't know anything about the cars but so far they've all been a resounding NO DEAL according to everyone.

Post some good ones!

The no deal/deal is purely an opinion especially when dealing with classics. It might be worth 2k to most buyers. But for guys like me that cruised around in one growing up as a teen its got much more value.

Clearly you aren't reading the same forum as the rest of us if you think your spamming of classified ads with horribly overpriced vehicles is needed for discussions to occur**

My pops had this exact same car - 1986 Pontiac Trans Am. Red, t-tops. Different wheels though.
Fun car. Great when the pavement was flat otherwise the ride was pretty rough. T-tops never leaked.

If I recall correctly, it was $18,000 new.

When I was 17 I had an 88 Trans Am GTA, same body style as this but with the 5.7 liter L98 engine. It felt fast to me at the time, and had tons of Torque. Never had any trouble with the car mechanically. It had around 198k miles on it when I sold it.

9k for this seems really over priced though, especially with the 305.

Even if it's an immaculate car, 9k for stock 305 Firebird is nuts. Even with a factory manual.

Although those cars are gradually getting more expensive, much like fox bodies. But I think I'd rather put 4k into a 5k Firebird and have a pretty nice/bitchin' fast car.

I had one. '86 Trans AM 305ci with the 5-spd. For $9K you can do much better. I gave the one I had away for free.

We all pretty much loved the LT1s/350 GM motors, I wonder why the 305 was so much suck compared to Ford's 302?

Gutless wonder. Think they had camshaft or crankshaft failures and burned oil like a diesel. I loved my 94 LT1 but had to sell for school. The 95 LS1s were just plain awesome engines. LS1 based Firebird would be my minimum for this type of car. Because trust me your not buying it for the interior.
Back when gas was cheap and smoky would cut you a break once in a while. Miss them days 🙁
