That was me just being ignorant sorry, so interesting stuff.

With Single Link DVI (pretty much the standard) the highest res you can push though is 1920x1080 (which is exact definition of High Definition Signal)

With Dual Link DVI you can support up to 2048x1536 which in my opinion would be SUPER DUPER High Definition.

My question is one hasn't anyone built a TRUE HD monitor with res of 1920x1080, sure it would be a little short for how wide it was, but it would display HD perfectly and nothing more

This puts a spin on our new 1920x1200 monitors, that have pretty much always been the standard res above 1600x1200

Woohoo! I stepped away from refreshing the order status for a bit, and when I came back: "Status: In Transit to Local Carrier"

So I guess a watched pot never boils, eh? Now maybe you all can get a reprieve from my incessant whining... for a while :)

Hopefully this means good news for my fellow CA people who have been waiting a long time... (woulda been nice if they had shipped yesterday so I would get the monitor this week, instead of who knows when, with the weekend factored in)

Well, now the race is for who actually gets it delivered first. With our luck, it'll be stuck in transit to local carrier for the full 3 days teh website says it could take ;)

I suppose I can shift my OCD to checking tracking status and crossing my fingers that there won't be any dead/stuck pixels (I'm really picky about those... surprise surprise).

It would sure make my day if it were socal :) But another poster over at FW says his UT order (out this direction, anyway) came out of TN and was UPS ground instead of 2-day.

I've purchased some speakers before from Dell and was not charged sales tax on it. I was just wondering if they're charging sales tax if there's a presence of the company in a given state. Is this still the way they charge sales tax. I see most people who have bought this are charged for sales tax.

Ah, it has finally shipped.

Delivery Estimate: Monday, March 14, 2005
This information is current as of Friday, March 11, 2005.

How cruel of them to ship it on Friday when I have overnight delivery on it! lol. Oh well, at least it's coming and should be here Monday. If only they shipped it yesterday! :)

Dell have been charging tax in Cali for about a year now.
Even if they didn't, you would have been charged tax anyway cause its in Small Business.
I think only Oregon and NH don't have sales tax.

Mine came from Sparks, NV.
Even though it was ground(I didn't ask for anything), it was shipped Wed and got here Thur.
Not bad.

ok well mine got shipped out of NASHVILLE, TN 2 Day Air Ship Date 10th, Delevery Date 15th.

That doesn't make sense does it? 2day to Cali should take... two days right. not 3

Well, if it shipped with my order (probably did), it did so right around midnight... so I guess it technically went out on the 11th.

Ship date

The race is ON!!!

Mine shipped too Eek but you know what stinks? I'm tracking via carrier(fedex) and this is what it says:

"Future delivery requested"

How mean is that! Has anybody experienced this, am I able to call them and request immediate delivery?
