I ordered mine last night (see previous post) and it shipped today to CA.

I don't understand Dell at all.

I might just go ahead and place a new order and plan to return the one that comes last. :p What do I have to lose? Sheesh.

NO! Eek don't order again, then I'll have to wait alone!

Any backlight problems as reported on the 2005FPWs?
--------

I have noticed something on dark backgrounds, but I am not sure if it is just an LCD thing.

I need to find out soon so I can exchange if needed.

EDIT: It is not bothering me in actual use, I am only concerned that I might be missing out on an even better image. :)

Thats hilarious that you're the one that started the thread and it took you longer than any of us who were following your advice to get the monitor
Enjoy brother, and thanks again for hooking us all up

I'm in CA, and still waiting for mine as well... I even have overnight shipping on it, and I ordered this one like the first day!

Same here. :(

Getting really mad here. It'd be one thing if everybody were in the same boat, but seeing orders placed after mine (in CA too) getting shipped is making me angry at Dell (but happy for those people who got theirs).

Maybe its more specific than just California? Where are you guys located? I'm in Orange County with an order date of 3/7, est. ship date of 3/17, and est arrival date of 3/21! Is it possible only certain areas of California are having problems? I wouldn't think so, but since others in CA are having their orders ship within 24-48 hours it makes me wonder.

Border of OC/LA here (Cerritos). I did see a SD order ship, though that may be another 'area' altogether.

I just ordered one for $860 plus 5% MA tax and free 2nd day shipping through Renee. Great person and awsome deal! Anyone ordered around MA, if so how long did it take from order to delivery?

I'm in L.A., Long Beach specifically and mine shipped in about 12 hours. I'll have it Monday.

You guys should call and complain. Regardless of the savings you still spent almost a grand. Call them up and explain to them that you know of others who recieved theirs in a timely fashion and you want yours shipped now. If they cancel your order just reorder it. You have nothing to lose.

I believe that in order to run beyond the 1920x1200 resolution, Apple needed 2 video cards or something of that nature.

Well, so much for my idea that certain parts of California are shipping slower than others.

Actually, by DVI spec, anything above 1600x1200 should be run using dual-link DVI since regular single-link DVI barely has bandwidth for 1600x1200 (according to tomshardware anyways :) )

EDIT: I don't mean to say that u can't run 1920x1200 with regular DVI (single-link), it apparently works in majority of cases but the 30" ACD native res is way too much for for it.

What is this dual link DVI, does this mean that i should use both the heads out of my DUAL-DVI 6800 ???
